Volunteering – Canada

TEMBO Volunteers are a great group of people. Without generous community members giving of their time in so many ways, our organization could not function. If you think you would like to donate some time to a particular event or fundraiser in Canada, or if you have a new fundraising idea, we’d love to hear from you. Volunteering – Tanzania

Occasionally, there are opportunities to volunteer in Tanzania. There are some things you need to know before contacting us with your request:

• Your request will depend upon availability of staff in Tanzania.
• Your volunteer work must fit with our education or micro-finance mandate.
• You need to present TEMBO Canada with a clear plan of what you intend to do in our project area.
• You are responsible for your own travel expenses and land expenses – food, accommodation, medical, insurance, and transportation. This may include paying for a translator, if one is needed.
• Your accommodation will be at the TEMBO Guesthouse in Longido.
