“A special place on the road from Nairobi to Arusha. Staffed by local people and all revenue going to fund education for girls and micro business opportunities for women. The staff are amazing, warm and welcoming and full of knowledge . The food is simple but nourishing and served in a communal room that is open for discussion and sharing of cultural stories. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Many opportunities for learning and helping and traveling from this base.”

“Very comfortable and cool, even when it was extremely hot outside. And the showers were absolutely luxurious after a long, sweaty day. The food was delicious, and prepared with care. The staff were supportive, and always eager to hear stories from the day’s events. The Guesthouse has a patio for sitting out at night under the big sky. (Be prepared for windy nights! The winds normally kicked in before bed and stayed strong most of the night.) People in the village of Longido are very welcoming: there’s usually a lively football match to see, and I can recommend the cultural tour that includes a hike up Longido Mountain.”
